About us
About Bookva
Bookva makes personalized printed comic books. You choose the hero, anyone at all, share a photo and a few details, and we write and draw a complete comic starring them. Then we print it and ship it in the US.
Who makes it
Nikolai Volosiankov
Founder of Bookva
Nikolai Volosiankov is a product-minded engineer who builds AI automation, and the founder of Bookva. It started at home: he made comics for his own kids, from their ideas and his, and watched how much it meant to them to be the heroes. In 2026 he turned that into Bookva, so anyone can put the person they love into a comic and give it to them. He works on every part of the book, from how the story is written and how each character comes to look like the person in the photo to how it is printed and shipped.
How a comic gets made
You see the cover and the beginning of the comic before you pay, and the whole book before it prints. The four steps are on our homepage, and buyers describe how it went for them on our reviews page.
